We abolished nurse bursaries to save just £0.6bn and now we can spend £4bn on preparing for No Deal that will cause even more nursing shortages. Govt lost the plot?

A young woman just asked me to take photo of her with her phone. I asked where she's from, she said 'Poland'. I said welcome to Britain and she nearly burst into tears- thanked me so much as she's had many nasty comments. What's happened to our country?

In tomorrow's @UKHouseofLords vote on Elections Bill I cannot support Govt intention to interfere with the Electoral Commission. I hope it will not insist on this democratically dangerous plan and will accept our amendment to maintain independence

I am so sad that neither of the main two parties have admitted how dreadful leaving the EU in the way we did, has been. To leave all those amazing #EU agencies such as Medicines, Chemicals, Science and even nuclear, was and still is hugely damaging. We've lost so much. For what?!

I don't understand how #pensioners with little or nothing other than #statepension are supposed to make ends meet as food and heating costs soar. Even if #inflation will subside next year ('if'!!) they need warmth and food now. Govt refused to listen even on #pensioncredit

I've studied the EU since 1970s and this project is about peace and cooperation as well as economics. Brexiteers never understood this. Time to wake up and recognise the benefits we might be throwing away in exchange for false promises

I'm sorry but I can't take this nonsense any more. Leaving with #noDeal is national disaster. No responsible politician shd ever have suggested it.

Andrea Leadsom: “no-deal Brexit next week would not be so grim”. She also said “I see no merit in hindsight”. No reflection. No learning from mistakes. No consideration of history. theguardian.com/politics/2019/…

I'd hate to see UK break up but #SNP State Pension position is understandable. How can UK Govt refuse to pay State Pens to ppl reaching state pension age after paying the reqd Nat Ins contribs. If they live abroad their #StatePension is paid to them. Wd need to negotiate it all

Please tweet this far and wide. The country must not hijacked by extremist ideologues who want to override our democracy. Well said Dominic!

Does anybody think 17.4m ppl would have voted for #Brexit if they'd realised there could be #NoDealBrexit and known the implications shown in #Yellowhammer ? This must not be allowed to happen. It is anti-democratic to pretend 17.4m voted for this chaos

Horrified reading Sunday Papers who support PM breaking the law. How can our media seriously support a PM defying the will of Parliament and legal system on which our democracy rest? To pursue #NoDealBrexit policy that will harm millions of our citizens and remove their rights

The Referendum vote was not for 'No Deal'. If Brexiters keep threatening No Deal then they let down most of the 17.4m Leave voters (who were promised the easiest trade deal in history) and all the 16.8m Remain voters. How can Parliament pander to a few extremists?

Further polling indicates the country is #remainernow as #brexitreality dawns. brexit is not only damaging bbith economically and socially for the UK it's Alos not the will of the oeiple. The leadership of the two main parties need to wake up & act in the country's interests.

Taking away Winter Fuel Payments from millions of pensioners, even those on low incomes who are either a little above pension credit level or don't claim, is cruel. This amounts to a 3% cut in basic state pension for the over 80s, far worse than dropping the triple lock!
