just think itโs important people know how peaceful and organized the protest in LA today was. for HOURS. EVERYONE (that i encountered) was kind. mindful. considerate. handing out free food and water. making sure those around them were okay.
also passed a very young girl yelling out of the window of her apartment โwhatโs going on?โ and i didnโt even know what to say. like fuck. just want the world to be a better place for kids to grow up in. no matter what they look like.
from everything i saw online prior, i thought the entire experience was going to be frightening, but still worth going to support. but it was beautiful and inspiring. until the cops started shooting.
i donโt really know where iโm going with these tweets but it just felt important to let people know these protests arenโt just madness from the start and โthugsโ trying to destroy everything. there were kids next to us.
even when we ran to leave, everyone around us was trying to help the protestors around them. give advice of what was happening on every street. helping with where to go.
