Ayya, fan boys, watching a Kannada cinema in any language other than Kannada helps expand the other language footprint, not Kannada. Tomorrow, they will use the numbers to say more takers for other language than Kannada. May be hard to understand, but do try.
For all the theories of demand and supply, I had a look at the number of tickets booked so far for #KGF2 at CineWorld Ilford on Sunday, 16th April.
Kannada 20:50 show - 35 tickets
Hindi 20:30 - 43 tickets
Telugu 20:40 show - 9 tickets
Tamil 19:00 show - 49 tickets

The Kannada content market is a large market in India and abroad, with a language speaker base of 7M+ globally. To get an idea of the size, 200+ Kannada cinemas are made every year, multi-Crore budget and grossers and 25+ TV channels relay content daily.

Hey @NetflixUK - this movie is also available in Kannada on your platform, but you only mention Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi. Why? If Kannada viewers won’t know that it’s available in Kannada, they may consider not watching it.

Just noticed #777Charlie movie is releasing on Friday here in the UK. Appears to have a better release (number of shows, times) than KGF2 Kannada version, however the problem of no promotion, no communication continues. Only because we follow Kannada cinema we found out, else?
Surprisingly, for the first time possibly in my experience of travelling, BA flight between BLR-LHR had announcements in English followed by Kannada. Deepak, our Kodava guy part of the flight crew, doing a fantastic job of announcing the necessary information in Kannada.
