    I think our industry is ready for a resurgence of simple programming. I feel like a lot of modern software is a Rube Goldberg machine, frameworks on top of libraries, embedding in frameworks based on every changing libraries. The art of straightforward architecture has been lost

    So early in my career, I put my name in all my code files. Years later I came across some code that had my name in it, but it was a butchered horrible chimera file, that only had a bit of my code. I stopped putting my name in my code after that

    How often, during a meeting, do you stop the speaker to tell them you don't understand what they just said? I do this all the time, and it always seems to surprise people. "I don't understand" is a powerful sentence
