Next announce that you won’t eat food that immigrants gather for you in back-breaking agricultural work or that they cook in the restaurants you dine in or the meat you eat from meat packing plants where they work. Stop the hypocrisy and stop dehumanizing immigrants.

El Paso is not a war zone! We are a vibrant, beautiful binational community and immigrants arriving at our front door are here to legally request asylum. It would be an understatement to say this is unacceptable and deeply offensive.

Concertina wire is being placed today at El Paso bridges by ⁦@CBP⁩. It’s been done previously in South Texas and California but it’s new here. Officials say it’s to prevent a rush by migrants. El Paso leaders are exploding.

Dangerous anti-immigrant hate spewed by @TomiLahren, FOX, Trump+enablers puts communities of color & immigrant communities like mine at risk. Last month a killer drove to El Paso to kill Mexicans and immigrants. The racism & indecency of these people is literally killing us.

Women of color in congress are frequently targeted by misogynistic, xenophobic, ignorant people. I’ve lived it. One of the shameless extremists we work with insulted @JasmineForUS, and @AOC used parliamentary procedure to demand a standard of decorum. There is no “both sides.”

Infants taken from breastfeeding mothers. Rod Rosenstein, John Bash, other DOJ officials were a "driving force" in family separation. These monsters devastated and damaged an entire generation of children and families. May all of their names be forever linked to this horror.
