Thank you @BillGates for your leadership as we work to accelerate a cure for #Alzheimers. If we detect Alzheimer's before symptoms appear, we have a critical window in which proactive measures to promote brain health may be able to delay cognitive decline. gatesnotes.com/Health/The-une…

The perception of #Alzheimers as an incurable disease has negative consequences. It results in lower rates of diagnosis and hinders recruitment for clinical trials. Let’s reaffirm our commitment and find a cure

Our efforts to #stopalz should not overshadow our efforts to preserve the dignity and respect of those living with #Alzheimers. We must always be cognizant of their needs and we must always include their voices in the search for an #alz cure.

#Alzheimers treatments must incorporate the patient perspective if they are to have a meaningful impact. If we do not understand the patient experience - and what matters most to patients and caregivers - we cannot adequately treat this disease. bit.ly/2uEFYjM

We must end the perception that #Alzheimers is an incurable disease. This incorrect and widespread belief leads to lower rates of diagnosis and participation in clinical trials. The fight to #stopalz may be long, but we will win it together.
