    Anne of Cleves died #onthisday in 1557. The fourth wife of Henry VIII, she is the only one of his wives to be buried in the Abbey and was the last to die. Her tomb is on the south side of the High Altar, beside the Cosmati pavement. It is decorated with her initials AC with a
    Engraving of a woman in Tudor attire, featuring a detailed headdress and a gown with puffed sleeves. Her hands are clasped in front. The image has a classical engraving texture, with annotations indicating it's from the National Portrait Gallery, London.
    A weathered stone relief features an ornate oval medallion with intricate carvings. Inside the medallion, stylized letters and symbols are prominently displayed. The top is adorned with a detailed crown-like motif, surrounded by floral patterns. Beneath, decorative foliage is intricately carved, adding to the elaborate design. The relief exudes historical and artistic richness.

    Over the last few months, we've been carrying out work to move one of the largest monuments in the Abbey. The memorial – to William Murray, Lord Mansfield – is made up of 95 individual pieces of carved Italian marble and weighs a total of around 29 tonnes. It is being moved back
