"There’s a serious housing shortage. It’s too difficult to build, & it’s driving prices up. We will take down barriers & cut red tape including at the state & local levels. We will end America's housing shortage by building 3,000,000 new homes."
Kamala just went full YIMBY!
This is awful I’m so sorry. I’ve had an entire backpack taken from me before in Paris, the experience was a little less agonizing because 1. All my valuables were outside of it, and 2. The French police were at least courteous & upfront about how unlikely it is I’ll get it back.
Because hyperloop is presented as a replacement against (rather than a complement to) improving rail infrastructure, and as long as hyperloop is proposed but never moving forward, the false hope will defer all the needed investment into better railways & we end up with nothing
People don’t seem to notice but more than half of NYC’s landmass is currently suburbia.
THIS is why you have to live without laundry in-unit, must bear with your roommate whose leftovers rot in the fridge, have to wait on long lines to view apartments you’ll never get, etc
imagine 4-story and 4+ unit as-of-right zoning throughout New York City. See all that yellow? That's land that would allow more housing to be built than it currently does.
