Oh... so a government CAN leave VPNs alone and let people have a crumb of privacy online. Maybe the politicians treating us like some sort of menace to children's safety are actually NOT correct? Food for thought! 🤔🙄

EU's Chat Control is back from the dead. • It was defeated TWICE in March 2026 • Resurrected from the dead by EU council leaders • Thrown into an emergency vote a week ago • Vote is on the last day before MEPs go for summer break - many already went home • Vote threshold

In a true democracy, the majority rules and makes the rules. Although 314 politicians voted to scrap Chat Control, while 276 voted to keep it, the vote required 360 MEPs to reject the Council of the European Union's position. theregister.com/security/2026/…

The EU is not a democracy. They're closer to a guy who keeps pressuring a girl to sleep with him despite her saying no. 5 times now. But he won't stop. We're at the stage where he's giving her alcohol and making her drunk so she struggles to say no. Over the last 3 years, Chat

The EU Parliament REJECTED Chat Control, but now they are forcing us to vote it AGAIN to revive it. What kind of democracy is this if we're forced to vote on the same issue over and over until they get the result they want? My colleague @MarketkaG explained the situation very

Looks like the EU is following the Canadian playbook, of rushing a massive privacy violation through, 1 day before they go on a summer vacation. Why do MPs even get the summer off? What are they... children? If so, why don't we let actual children pass laws, they would probably

On Thursday, the European Parliament votes on Chat Control 1 (the voluntary scanning, not the mandatory scanning, called Chat Control 2). Again. The Parliament has already voted against Chat Control 1. Two times. But the Council of Ministers and the Parliament President refuse

The UK should consider a new law where their government gargles my nuts. What the hell is wrong with that country? It's like every week they spin a wheel to decide what freedom they will outlaw for the public, and then make a genuine effort to actually do it.

The UK is considering new laws that would force YouTube and other social media platforms to prioritize "trustworthy" news sources. If passed, trusted media sources like the BBC would get prioritized over content creators in the UK.
