When I first worked up the nerve to give a stranger my mailing address over the internet, they sent me a dub of the Hiero vs Hobo Junction battle on KMEL, which coincidentally went down 30 years ago yesterday. It was my intro to Saafir. RIP to the legend. 🕊️

I still remember the day I grabbed the Hobo Junction "Limited Edition" tape from Leopold's in Berkeley. It had the original version of "Shot Callin' & Big Ballin', "In A Vest", and this classic.. #RIPSaafir
