Are psychedelics going to "change the world" as some people believe? Yesterday, a member of the French Psychedelic Society, who works in a harm reduction association in western France, sent us this, which is starting to circulate in France, and has also been spotted since

In 2014, Switzerland became the first country in the world to authorize the use of psychedelics (LSD and MDMA, followed by psilocybin in 2021) in psychotherapy. Since then, 1051 patients have received authorization, including 351 for MDMA, 338 for LSD and 362 for psilocybin; the

Today, the first patient since 1966-7 officially received psilocybin in France ✨ I'm so happy to see this moment finally arrive ✨ It's not a miracle treatment, it won't work for everyone, it's only the beginnings and it'll take years for it to become - maybe - a drug, but

In October 1956, a team of Saskatchewan psychiatrists involved in clinical trials of mescaline and LSD were invited by Frank Takes Gun, president of the Native American Church, to attend a peyote ceremony. The purpose of this invitation was to try and convince the Canadian

In the late 1960s, as psychedelics became illegal, brochures appeared in the United States to pass on knowledge about them and teach people how they could be grown. Here are some examples preserved by historian @erikadyckhist

So no, psychedelics aren't going to change the world. And there are increasingly powerful groups threatening our societies. People who use these products to consolidate their fascist ideology, to feel more united, more legitimate. It's terrifying.

you a pacifist, an ecologist or "we're all brothers and sisters". In fact, it would appear that psychedelics reinforce pre-established ideologies. French anthropologist @David__Dupuis works a lot on these issues. His article on the subject can be

When LSD was withdrawn from the market in the 1960s, the consequences were terrible for some of the patients who had been treated with it, as can be seen in this account by Dr. Gary Fisher, who was treating autistic children with the substance at the time. For many children and

Even if FDA took the decision to reject the use of MDMA for post-traumatic syndrom today, it will remain a treatment in Switzerland. As it as been since 10 years now.

found here mind-foundation.org/blog/psychedel… The existence of these pills horrifies me. I can't imagine what it must be like, the events during which people take them. In the current French political context, this is obviously all the more worrying.

there saferparty.ch/warnungen/reic… The oldest pill of this type that we found when looking around yesterday, of MDMA, being the SS symbol, dates from 2019 (if you have older sources I'll take it). So it seems to be a recent phenomenon.

📖 Today I received this rare, little-known book, which nevertheless presents the practice of one of the biggest teams to have worked with LSD, psilocybin and mescaline from the 50s to 70s. By 1965, Fontana’s clinic in Argentina had treated over 600 patients in individual therapy

Today I am very lucky to have the great opportunity to go and meet the descendants of this family, in particular with a view to identifying the people, who are only mentioned as "the Indians" in the archives.
