Micheál Martin TD is the Taoiseach (Prime Minister) of Ireland.

Mr Martin previously served as Tánaiste (Deputy Prime Minister) and as Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Defence from December 2022 to January 2025, and as Taoiseach from June 2020 to December 2022. Over his political career, he has also served as the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Minister for Health, and Minister for Education, as well as Lord Mayor of Cork in 1992–93.

Peter Burke is Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment. He previously served as Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Minister of State for European Affairs and Defence, and Minister of State for Local Government and Planning.

Before being appointed to the government, Peter sat on the Oireachtas Finance and Public Accounts Committees and has been a frequent media commentator on tax and financial issues.

He was born in Mullingar, Ireland and attended National University of Ireland, Galway where he studied Commerce. He is a Chartered Accountant by profession with ten years’ experience in the private sector. Peter served as a Councillor on Westmeath County Council from 2007 until he was elected to the Dáil in 2016. He is married to Olivia and they have two young sons, Leo and Ted.

Niamh Smyth TD serves as Minister of State at the Department of Enterprise, Tourism and Employment, with special responsibility for Trade Promotion, AI and Digital Transformation, making her the first minister in the history of the State to hold a designated AI portfolio.

In that role, Minister Smyth is leading a significant programme of work to drive the adoption and deployment of artificial intelligence across Irish business and industry, providing enterprises with targeted support, training and practical guidance.

First elected to local government in 2009, Minister Smyth has represented her constituents in Dáil Éireann since 2016, returned on three successive occasions. She holds the distinction of being the first woman ever elected as a TD in Cavan. Minister Smyth is the grand-niece of Paddy Smith, the longest-serving member of the Dáil.

Prior to her ministerial appointment in February 2025, Minister Smyth chaired the Oireachtas Committee on Media, Tourism, Arts, Culture, Sport and the Gaeltacht, where she led the high-profile investigation into payments at RTÉ. In that role, she was also a committed advocate for Ireland’s cultural heritage, championing the traditions and shared experiences that connect communities across the island.

Minister Smyth holds a Bachelor’s in Art and Design from NCAD, a Postgraduate qualification in Dance Education from the University of Limerick, and a Master’s in Curatorial Studies from IADT Dún Laoghaire.

As Executive Vice-President for Tech Sovereignty, Security and Democracy, Ms Henna Virkkunen is tasked with combatting the increasingly complex security threats facing the EU, whilst at the same time strengthening our external borders and our internal security. This goes hand in hand with her responsibility to ensure our freedoms, justice and democracy are strengthened too.

Furthermore, she is responsible for the Digital and Frontier Technologies portfolio. This entails leading Europe’s efforts in shaping a competitive, resilient and inclusive digital future and maintaining or attaining leadership in strategic digital technologies.

Prior to joining the European Commission Ms Virkkunen served as a Member of the European Parliament for over ten years. As a Member of the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy her work focused on digitalisation, research and frontier technologies.

Ms Virkkunen has held various ministerial positions in Finland, namely Minister of Transport and Local Government (2014), Minister of Public Administration and Local Government (2011-2014) as well as Minister of Education and Science (2008-2011).

Michael McGrath assumed the role of EU Commissioner for Democracy, Justice, the Rule of Law and Consumer Protection on 1 December 2024, as a member of the European Commission under the leadership of President Ursula von der Leyen.

As a member of the College of Commissioners, Commissioner McGrath contributes to delivering on the Commission’s overall political priorities, set out in the Political Guidelines underpinning the European Commission 2024 – 2029.

Commissioner McGrath has specific responsibility for upholding the rule of law, protecting democracy and fundamental rights, tackling disinformation, improving criminal justice cooperation and strengthening the rights of victims of crime, and improving EU competitiveness through the reform of company law and civil law. Commissioner McGrath has lead responsibility for consumer protection policy for almost 450 million consumers in the EU, and works to ensure full enforcement of the General Data Protection Regulation, and promoting trusted data flows with international partners.

Commissioner McGrath has been appointed by President von der Leyen as Chairperson of the Commission Project Group on Democracy, and is a member of the Project Groups on Artificial Intelligence; Startups and Scaleups; European Savings and Investment Union; and European internal Security.

Prior to this, Commissioner McGrath served as Ireland’s Minister for Finance from 2022 to 2024, as Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform from 2020 to 2022, and was an elected member of the Irish Parliament between 2007 to 2024. As Minister for Finance, he had a key role in decisions made across government, and was Ireland’s representative at the Eurogroup and Ecofin meetings of European Finance Ministers, and was Governor of a number of international bodies that Ireland is a member of, including the European Investment Bank, the IMF, the World Bank, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

Commissioner McGrath holds a Bachelor of Commerce from University College Cork, is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has undertaken studies with the London School of Economics and Political Science. He held senior roles in both the private and public sectors before entering politics full-time.

Cristiano Amon is President and Chief Executive Officer of Qualcomm Incorporated, and also serves on the Company’s board of directors. Amon assumed the role of CEO on June 30, 2021.

Amon began his Qualcomm career in 1995 as an engineer, and during his tenure, has helped shape the strategic direction for the Company in several leadership roles. Prior to becoming CEO, Amon served as president of Qualcomm. In that role, he steered development of a leading and differentiated product roadmap, spearheaded Qualcomm’s 5G strategy as well as its acceleration and global roll out and drove the expansion and diversification of the business to serve multiple industries, including automotive, computing, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), networking, and industrial. Additionally, he has overseen the successful execution of mergers and acquisitions to augment Qualcomm’s capabilities in areas such as advanced driver assistance (ADAS), spatial computing, advanced CPU, and RF Front End.

Previously, Amon led Qualcomm’s semiconductor business as president of QCT. He also held several technical and business leadership positions, which included having overall responsibility for Snapdragon® platforms.

Amon has also served as chief technical officer for Vésper, a wireless operator in Brazil, and held leadership positions at NEC, Ericsson and Velocom.

Amon holds a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and an honorary doctorate from UNICAMP – Universidade Estadual de Campinas, São Paulo, Brazil. He is a member of the President’s Export Council, vice chair of the US- China Business Council and currently serves on the board of directors for Adobe and Father Joe’s Villages.

Robin Colwell is senior vice president of government affairs at Intel Corporation. She leads the company’s global engagement with policymakers, regulators and industry leaders to strengthen trust, advance Intel’s priorities, and position the company at the intersection of public policy, technology and manufacturing. Colwell brings extensive experience across the executive, legislative, and judicial branches of government as well as the private sector, with deep expertise in telecommunications, technology, and cybersecurity policy issues. Most recently, she served as deputy assistant to the President and deputy director of the National Economic Council, developing Administration policies across all sectors of the U.S. economy. Previously, she was a principal with BGR Group’s Commerce and Infrastructure Practice, where she provided strategic insights and advocacy on complex telecommunications, technology, and cybersecurity policy issues.

Earlier in her career, Colwell served as special assistant to the President at the White House National Economic Council, developing policy and leading implementation of priorities including broadband deployment, spectrum allocation and domestic supply chain security. She also served as chief counsel for the House Energy & Commerce Committee for Communications and Technology and as chief of staff to Commissioner Michael O’Rielly at the Federal Communications Commission. Colwell earned a bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and a law degree from the College of William & Mary School of Law. Law School).

Dorothy Creaven is Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Jentic, the agentic operating layer for enterprises. Jentic enables organisations to give AI agents safe, governed and observable access to the systems, data and tools they need to operate across real business environments.

With over 25 years’ experience in technology, operations and company-building, she has worked across startups and global enterprises. She previously served as Vice President at Rent the Runway (NASDAQ: RENT) and Managing Director of RTR Ireland Ltd, leading the launch and scale-up of the company’s first international office. She also co-founded Element Wave, a Gartner-recognised enterprise mobile marketing automation platform.

Dorothy serves on the boards of Croí Heart & Stroke and the Irish Centre for High-End Computing (ICHEC). She also advises the Irish government on research and innovation policy through the DFHERIS Research and Innovation Forum, bringing an industry perspective on technology competitiveness, enterprise adoption and long-term national capability building

Sarah Friar is the Chief Financial Officer of OpenAI. Before joining OpenAI, Sarah served as Chief Executive Officer of Nextdoor from 2018 to 2024, and as Chief Financial Officer of Block (formerly Square) between 2012 and 2018. Before her tenure at Block, Sarah served as SVP of Finance & Strategy at Salesforce, and held executive roles at Goldman Sachs and McKinsey in London and South Africa.

Sarah currently sits on the board of directors of Walmart and Consensys, as well as the Stanford Board of Trustees, and she serves on the advisory board of OperationHOPE., She previously served on the advisory boards of Blavatnik School of Government at the University of Oxford and the Digital Economy Lab at Stanford University. Bio: Sir Demis Hassabis is a Nobel laureate and the co-founder and chair of Google DeepMind, chief scientist at Alphabet, and founder and CEO of Isomorphic Labs.

In 2024, Demis was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for developing AlphaFold, an AI system that solved the 50-year-old challenge of predicting the three-dimensional structures of proteins. Philipp Herzig is Chief Technology Officer of SAP SE. Smith joined Microsoft in 1993, first spending three years in Paris leading the legal and corporate affairs team in Europe. Over the past decade, Smith has spearheaded the company’s work to advance privacy protection for Microsoft customers and the rights of DREAMers and other immigrants, including bringing multiple lawsuits against the U.S. government on these issues.

Prior to joining Microsoft, Smith was an associate and then partner at the law firm of Covington and Burling, where he is still remembered as the first attorney in the long history of the firm to insist (in 1986) on having a personal computer on his desk as a condition for accepting a job offer. In addition to his work at Microsoft, Smith is active in several civic organizations and in the broader technology industry. In 2014, Smith was named to the board of trustees of Princeton University, for which he continues to serve today. He has served on the Netflix board of directors since 2015 and chairs the board of directors for the Washington State Opportunity Scholarship program. In 2024, he transitioned to board chair emeritus of the Kids in Need of Defense (KIND), an organization he cofounded with Angelina Jolie in 2008, and served as its chair of the board of directors for 15 years.

Sid is Global Head, Enterprise AI & Reimagining Work at Novartis, having previously served as Managing Director & Partner at BCG X, where he co-led the Health Tech practice. He began his career in tech strategy consulting, founded a startup and also worked in venture capital, leading pre-seed investments in tech startups across the UK and Europe. Sid earned a Master of Business Administration from London Business School in the UK and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in the United States. Matt Truppo serves as Global Head of Research Platforms & Computational R&D within Sanofi’s Global R&D Team, based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA.

With more than two decades of experience in pharmaceutical R&D, Matt oversees the full range of Sanofi’s research platform capabilities across all modalities and therapeutic areas, while driving the company’s R&D digital transformation roadmap. His mission is to embed AI and advanced predictive technologies at every stage of R&D to accelerate drug discovery timelines and deliver more first-in-class therapies to patients.

Matts key projects include; the pioneering development of Virtual Human Twins and digital immune systems — groundbreaking AI technologies that model human biology to help predict drug safety and efficacy before clinical trials. These technologies have the potential to transform the way medicines are discovered and developed, enabling researchers to better understand how individual patients may respond to treatments and helping to accelerate the development of safer and more effective therapies.

Matt also leads Sanofi’s “In Silico First” programme, which uses machine learning and predictive AI models to stratify patients, improve early-phase attrition rates and ultimately reduce reliance on traditional animal and human testing. Under his leadership, Sanofi is building collaborative ecosystems with academic institutions, start-ups and industry partners to advance these frontier technologies, including initiatives to develop a comprehensive AI-powered digital immune system that could revolutionise precision medicine.

Before joining Sanofi, Matt directed Protein Therapeutics API Development and Biologics Discovery at Johnson & Johnson and spent more than a decade at Merck, working across all four quadrants of biopharmaceutical R&D: Small Molecule Discovery, Large Molecule Discovery, Small Molecule Development and Large Molecule Development. These roles equipped him to translate cutting-edge science into scalable platforms while leading global teams of more than 1,000 scientists.

A recognised thought leader in the industry, Dr Truppo has contributed to 14 marketed products, with more than 10 additional breakthrough therapies currently advancing through clinical development. He holds an impressive portfolio of more than 60 publications and patents and serves on multiple international scientific advisory boards.

Niall Twomey is CIO and Co-Founder of Fenergo. Originally from County Cork, Ireland, Eoin holds qualifications in engineering, project management, business, and leadership, including executive education studies at the University of Manchester and Harvard Business School. Outside of Mercury, Eoin oversees his family office, Butterhill investments and enjoys spending time with his family on their farm in the foothills of the Wicklow mountains.

Robin Washington is President and Chief Operating & Financial Officer at Salesforce. She is responsible for driving profitable growth and operational excellence, while accelerating the transformation of every company into an Agentic Enterprise. She leads the full breadth of functions powering Salesforce’s operational engine, including enterprise planning, finance, human resources, investor relations, legal, and revenue operations.

Robin brings decades of operational and financial leadership from some of the world’s most respected companies. She has served as a Salesforce Board Director since 2013, including as Lead Independent Director from 2022 to 2025, playing a critical role in Salesforce’s strategic transformation. Previously, she served as EVP and CFO of Gilead Sciences, CFO of Hyperion Solutions, and Chief Accounting Officer of PeopleSoft.

Robin also currently serves on the board of directors of Alphabet. She is a certified public accountant and received her B.A. in business administration from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Pepperdine University.

Eddie Wilson joined Ryanair in 1997, a then fledgling airline with just 20 aircraft that was unheard of outside of Ireland and had yet to transform European short-haul aviation and the lives and travel habits of hundreds of millions of Europeans.

His initial role was Head of HR, but given the fluid management of the company, he quickly got involved in airport deals, ground handling, inflight retail and the design and the launch of Ryanair.com. He was subsequently promoted to Director of Inflight Operations, retaining his HR brief but taking on the day-to-day management of a workforce of thousands of Inflight personnel along with a substantial retail programme.

He was appointed Chief People Officer in 2015 and was appointed CEO in 2019.

Eddie likes to travel and in his spare time enjoys sea swimming, sailing and mountain biking.

As President, Chief Product Officer, and Chief Operating Officer, Amit Zavery leads ServiceNow’s platform, products, engineering, cloud infrastructure, and user experience. He also runs enterprise-wide operations to ensure business rigor —from innovation to execution.

Previously, Zavery was Vice President & General Manager and Head of Platform for Google Cloud, where he was responsible for defining product strategy, running engineering, streamlining business operations, and building the business application platform business. At Google Cloud, Amit was part of the leadership team that grew the company into the fourth largest enterprise software company in the world while increasing Google Cloud’s annualized revenue from more than $7B to over $41B.

Before Google, Amit was Executive Vice President and Corporate Officer of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Middleware products. He led Oracle’s product vision, design, development, and go-to-market strategy for cloud platform, middleware, Java and analytics portfolio and oversaw a global team of more than 4,500 engineers generating more than $6B in annual revenue.

Amit has a proven track record of designing and delivering innovative and market-leading enterprise products, scaling businesses, and building organizations by recruiting and retaining world-class talent.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Science in Information Networking from Carnegie Mellon University.
