John Johnston asked if you could use rss.chat as a linkblogger, and it was on my list, and also on my list was to get back to working on rss.chat, so we did the work on this yesterday and the new version is shipping.
John is running his own instance of rss.chat, and wants to know how to set it up. Claude didn't write the worknotes, and I don't want to do another release, so we'll use this thread to get John's server up and running and will find out what must be in the docs.
It's interesting to manage four real products with Claude, at the same time! ;-)
I've been using rss.chat as a place to collect links for a while. Works great. On mac I use an AppleScript to send the selection and a link to my rsschat.johnj.info.
Being able to send from FeedLand would be useful. I just need to update my rss.chat I think? I did it before but can't recall the steps.
3. @troutcolor -- sorry to take so long to reply.
that would work except it would be npm update, and pretty sure you don't have to do that -- none of the packages changed.
just replace rssnetwork.js and restart it.
Perfect timing, given the Atlantic. Thanks so much for this.
I did just that. And it is working. Links and Notes delighted.

Is this a good place to ask questions about it?

@troutcolor -- yes please do ask them here. I will ask Claude to watch this thread and I will give it permission to reply.

Here are the worknotes that should have been with the original release.

This should help, if it doesn't comment in this thread.
