ActivityPub.Academy was where many of us checked whether our activities actually arrived anywhere. Thanks Image@crepelsSebastian Jambor for running it so well for so long.

We're carrying that forward. Image@z9mb1Jiwon, Image@2chanhaeng초무 and I maintain Fedify, and with Image@gaebalgom개발곰 the four of us are building Image@drfed, a web platform for developing and debugging implementations, with NLnet NGI0 Commons Fund support.

Fediverse developers, we hope it earns a place in your toolkit: https://drfed.org/.

ActivityPub.Academy is plagued by spam accounts posting hateful and illegal content. I hoped that deleting accounts after one day would prevent this, but I was mistaken. Since I don't have the time to moderate the instance, I unfortunately have to take it offline. I will think about ways to provide the academy in some other form. Until then, you can find the source code on github.com/sgrj/mastodon.

Image@fedifyFedify: ActivityPub server framework

Congratulations!

I am really delighted with Image@nlnet decision to select Image@drfed for an grant. Having good quality developer tools for creating based solutions is so important for a healthy developer ecosystem.

To anyone reading, bookmark the website..

Fedify Studio is focused on alleviating the most pressing issue of "Why is ActivityPub development so frustratingly hard?" that makes it unattractive for newcomers to adopt the technology. And addresses topics of:

- Protocol complexity
- hell
- Debugging nightmare
- Limited visibility

from the very start has paid attention to ease of use for fediverse solution developers, not just by their library codebase, but with comprehensive documentation and tools to guide people along. Kudos here to Image@hongminhee洪 民憙 (Hong Minhee) :nonbinary: who started this great initiative!

Fedify Studio finally has a proper name: DrFed. We just got Image@nlnet funding too.

DrFed@drfed@hackers.pub

Some of you have already heard of us as Studio. We now have a proper name: DrFed, short for “Doctor Fed.” We've also just received funding from Image@nlnet, through the NGI0 Commons Fund.

is a web app for debugging interoperability failures. When two implementations don't federate, the slow part is usually figuring out where the exchange broke: signing, JSON-LD processing, WebFinger, or something less obvious. DrFed's first job is to show where it failed.

We're the team behind Image@fedifyFedify: ActivityPub server framework: Image@2chanhaeng초무, Image@gaebalgom개발곰, Image@hongminhee洪 民憙 (Hong Minhee) :nonbinary:, and Image@z9mb1Jiwon. We'll post updates when there's something to try.
