Jobs are a system present in Infinite Dendrogram associated with any recognized official humanoid species.
Information[]
A job is a specific class that those recognized as humans in Infinite Dendrogram, such as Masters and Tians, can register as. Once someone takes a job, it is reflected in their status and they can make use of the skills associated with the job and their status will rise according to the job's stat growth.
There are more than 10,000 job classes in Infinite Dendrogram, which can be categorized as battle type jobs that focus on direct combat and production type jobs which focus on creating items or using produced items.
In terms of rank, jobs can be divided into 3 categories, low, high and Superior. Each person can only have 6 low-rank jobs and 2 high-rank jobs, save for one exception.
Amongst these jobs, each person will choose a main job, which will be what is displayed in their status. An individual can make full use of all the skills in their main job. Other jobs are known as sub jobs, and skills from those jobs can only be used if they match the grouping of the main job.
Archetype System[]
The system that governs jobs, which was created by the previous administrators of the world. It grants jobs through Job Crystals and measures the suitability and talent of those that seek Superior Jobs with quest trials. It also manages the use of job skills through the simplification of magic techniques and sense skills such as cooking. Even the Control A.I.'s cannot completely control or understand this system. As such, with the exception of the Draconic Emperor job created by the Ancient Dragon, no new jobs have been created for a long time.
Job Rankings[]
Low Rank Jobs[]
Also called Minor Jobs, it is the easiest type of job that a person can take. Most low-rank jobs have no requirements to achieve, meaning that as long as a person goes to the requisite Job Crystal, they can get the job. The status growth for low-rank jobs is very low, and the level cap is 50.
High-Rank Jobs[]
Also called a Major Job, it is a higher ranking type job. Unlike low-rank jobs, high-rank jobs have requirements to be achieved, but also have far greater status growth and more skills. There are rare cases when a person's race will change as a result of taking a high rank job, such as the Ogre Samurai job, which will change the job holder's race to 'Ogre'. Most high ranking jobs are direct upgrades to low ranking jobs. In some cases, reaching the level cap for the respective low-rank job will be a requirement for achieving the high-rank job. The level cap for high-rank job is 100.
Superior Jobs[]
The apex of all jobs. Only one person can hold a Superior Job at a time. The conditions for achieving a Superior Job are extremely difficult, including a trial set by the previous administrators. As such, a great amount of talent is usually necessary to achieve this rank of Job. Unlike low and high-rank jobs, Superior Jobs have no level cap, and a Superior Job holder can theoretically continue to get stronger without limit.
Series[]
Royalty Series[]
Superior Jobs that typically possess specialized stat growth based on their type and select powerful skills. They're generally Superior Jobs that is the pinnacle of a certain Job grouping. Among the series of Superior Jobs, they give the highest overall status growth but ranks the lowest on the amount of skills it grants its users.
Emperor Series[]
Superior Jobs that are unlocked after a set amount of users of its lower ranked Job exists and is obtained through the approval of multiple members of the same grouping. Their skills are upward compatible to their lower counterparts. The Special Superior Job, Draconic Emperor is camouflaged as a part of this Superior Job and the Superior Job, Hierophant/High Priestess is slightly considered to be of this series due to having similar requirements.
General Series[]
Superior Jobs specialized in commanding large groups of people. All Superior Jobs under this series are prototypes of the Special Superior Job, Conquest General save for the Superior Jobs, Hell General and Celestial General. They all possess the skill, Corps and if they possess a Final Blow, its effects usually causes their minion's death rather than their own. Among the series of Superior Jobs, they give the second to the lowest overall status growth and ranks second to the lowest on the amount of skills it grants its users.
Over/Great Series[]
A series of Superior Jobs that can be considered to be a direct upgrade to their lower counterparts similar to the Royalty series. However, their status growth are typically much more balanced compared to the Royalty series. Among the series of Superior Jobs, they give the second to the highest overall status growth and grants the second to the highest number of skills.
The One Series[]
Superior Jobs that is commonly obtained due to great talent or knowledge in a certain field. They typically have lower status growth but in exchange, users of this Job can create skills based on their specializations far more easily. Skills created by the previous generation can be used by the current generation, however their performance can differ from the original creator and the current user. Superior Jobs from this series that was obtained due to talent or some other means that doesn't possess any other requirement cannot be reset by the user like the Special Superior Job, The Evil. Among the series of Superior Jobs, they give the lowest overall status growth but grants the highest number of skills.
Composite Series[]
Superior Jobs that are gained by mixing certain jobs, skills, and/or accomplishments from disparate job groupings. Xunyu's Master Jiangshi is an example of such a job, combining the Daoshi and Jiangshi job groupings. Details on the commonalities of Composite Superior Jobs are unknown.
Demon Lord[]
Superior Jobs that are gained when someone conquers one of the 7 designated created dungeons. These Superior Jobs were the prototypes of The Evil and possess skills based on it. All Superior Jobs under this series has a Final Blow and allows the user to use all job skills possessed by their sub-jobs, except the ultimate skill of Superior Jobs that is put as their sub-job. However, a person can only possess one Superior Job from this series.
Infinite Jobs[]
The highest rank that a Job can reach. People who possess Infinite Jobs are sometimes born from other worlds, randomly. Unlike Superior Jobs where a person can obtain more than 1 of them at the same time, a person can only have one Infinite Job. The Infinite Jobs once fought against the Infinite Demons, Future God, Plague God, and Destruction God where majority of their combat-specialized people who fought against them died. The surviving ones who are mostly production-specialized created the world where Infinite Dendrogram is set in an attempt to create more Infinite Job holders, becoming known as the world's previous administrators in the current time. Though, long before even the invasion of the Incarnations, they left the world they created for some unknown reason.
