The Bachelor of Education (BEd) at EIU–Paris is a globally benchmarked undergraduate degree tailored for aspiring educators, teaching assistants, school administrators, and professionals already engaged in education-related fields. The program consists of 18 modules, totaling 180 ECTS credits.
Designed with flexibility and accessibility in mind, the programme allows students to complete their degree in 12 to 36 months, depending on their academic background and teaching experience.
Programme Structure
Those with a prior bachelor’s degree or 6+ years of verified teaching experience may complete the BEd in an accelerated 12-month timeline.
Specialization
The Bachelor of Education (BEd) at EIU–Paris is primarily a professional teaching degree designed to equip graduates with broad pedagogical knowledge, teaching methods, and classroom management skills. By default, it is a generalist qualification, ensuring versatility across teaching contexts.
However, at EIU–Paris we also recognize the value of professional depth. Students may have a specialization/concentration formally acknowledged through their final module portfolio, where they present documented evidence of teaching practice, projects, and professional contributions in a chosen area (e.g., Mathematics, Sciences, Languages, Early Childhood, TESOL, or Special Education).

Entry Requirements
To qualify for admission, applicants must meet one of the following:
- A recognized Bachelor’s degree in any field, and
- At least 1 year of professional experience in teaching, educational support, or school administration, or
- Mature Entry Route: At least 6 years of verifiable experience in education-related fields (teaching, special needs, admin, etc.)
English Language Proficiency
- No test required if prior education was in English
- Others may submit IELTS/TOEFL scores or take the EIU–Paris in-house English test

There are no exams or live oral defenses. Assessment is based on:
- Reflective Application Question (RAQ): 500-word answer per module assessment
