Dates
The hackathon will take place on Saturday, November 2, running from 10:00 AM to 9:30 PM. This will be a full-day event with time for development, mentoring, and final presentations. The earlier tentative dates of October 31 to November 1 are no longer in use.
Eligibility
All participants with a valid Terpmail account are eligible to join. Students can form teams and participate in any of the four tracks. Each participant must register and submit their project through Devpost to be considered for judging.
Project and Submission Requirements
Projects must align with one of the four official tracks: General, Healthcare and Wellness, FinTech and Financial Literacy, or Productivity and Automation. Each submission must include a working prototype, a short demo video, screenshots, and a link to the code repository with build and run instructions. Teams should clearly describe their problem, solution, and the expected impact. All materials must be submitted on Devpost before judging begins.
Prizes
Each track will have a 1st and 2nd place team, for a total of eight teams across all tracks. The 1st place team from each project will move on to the final round of judging. The best overall hack will receive the 1st place prize, followed by 2nd place and additional placements as decided by the judges. Final prize details will be confirmed once event expenses are finalized.
Judging Criteria and Winner Selection
Judging will occur in two stages. In the first stage, technical leads will review Devpost submissions and shortlist five to seven teams. In the second stage, the shortlisted teams will present their projects live to Candace, Grace, Sumiran, and Suvaditya Mukherjee (Google Developer Expert from California) and Jeff Gilberti (GDSC Advisor).
