We experienced a record-breaking snowstorm last Friday & Saturday.
Twenty-seven inches of snow fell in about twenty-four hours, which is unheard of for this area.
We were blissfully, literally, snowed in.
Here's a smattering of pictures taken during the height of the storm.
Nathan.

Emma and Isaac.

Clara.

Our house.

Our street. (Five days later, the plows finally came.)

Our swing set.

Twenty-four inches and counting.

The corner of our picnic table, piled high.

Clara was drenched.
Emma went for a swim.

Isaac wasn't too sure about the snow.

But Madeline was perfectly content for a long, long time.

Several days later, the snow had long since stopped, but we were still snowed in. The kids played outside in the snow, but the twins didn't appreciate its wonder too much.

These three played bobsled for at least three hours one afternoon. (Apparently bobsled involves laying on one's stomach and sliding headfirst down a snow-packed hill. Such fun ; )

And they enjoyed the company of our sweet neighbor girls.

Wow!!! What fun! I was thinking of you all. I'm glad it was filled with some wonderful memories! Yay! A good lesson in "how well prepared are we", right? :) I love the pics! Thanks so much for sharing! Brought so many smiles! :)
That is crazy! I assume Brian still had to go to work through it all though . . .
OH MY GOODNESS! That is a LOT of snow, really fast! I loved the pictures and I wish I was there. Love fresh- fallen snow and it looks like the kids had a ton of fun! What sweet faces.
Wasn't that fun?? We only got 12 inches here in Richmond, but were snowed in, too. Church was cancelled and like you, the plows didn't come plow our street until five days later. It's all melted here, now, but it was fun while it lasted. Great pics of the kiddos!
