Yeah, feel free to label me oversensitive or FOMO or whatever, but I DID cry all through the 2nd half of the film. :) ( CW: too much of me talking about my RL )
Anyway, sorry for rambling about my RL instead of the movie. But in conclusion, IMHO this a very sincere movie, the cast is amazing, and I salute the director for being able to touch a lot of people's hearts with how genuine this movie is. Thank you.

So far it's been promoted as 'love/hate relationship between half brothers', hahah. From what I can gather, so:

- Wada Takuma is Amatsuki Touma, the owner and chef of Solliev0 restaurant, and he's the illegitimate son of the Amatsuki patriarch.
- Someya Toshiyuki is Amatsuki Haruhi, Touma's younger brother (from a different mother) and the legitimate heir of Amatsuki Holdings.
- Haruhi promises (?) to go back to Amatsuki Holdings and become the president at the age of 30, which is close at the beginning of the series.
- At the beginning of the series, Haruhi runs the operations of Solliev0 with Touma, but Kuzumi Kaede (Isaka Ikumi), the secretary of Touma and Haruhi's father, often visits to convince Haruhi to go back to the family
- There are also Kujou Koutarou (Hirono Ryouta), the tiny, fluffy but very capable bodyguard (?) of Haruhi (and well... Touma), and Houjou Sora (Yokota Ryugi), also from the Amatsuki Holdings, who's in Solliev0 to... I have no idea what, assist the brothers?
And dude, what's with the beginning of the episode, with him sitting in Haruhi's bed and staring at him silently, haha.

Solo Leveling anime

I love this series. I love Jinwoo, I love Igris, I love the webtoon (marathoned through it in 5 days HAHA), and tbh I was expecting that SoLev would be my most favorite series this Winter season. But it wasn’t!
And well, to be fair, this Winter’s titles were just INSANE. But it’s still kinda surprising for me when I realize that... damn, I love several other titles more than SoLev this season.
I still love SoLev anime so much, I think they have done AN AMAZING job with it with amazing results.

I uploaded clips from both versions not to compare them, but to show you how both Wakatsuki Yumi and Arima Sayato present Richard to the audience. AND ALSO, to show you how Wada Takuma's Henry responds to both of them with subtle differences.
Both Sayato and Waka san are great, but Kuma is also great with how he interacts with both of them. I LOVE THIS STAGE PLAY.

It's been... What, 3 years since I last watched a musical live?
Yesterday I watched RENT musical by @teman.musicals together with Icha!
It's my 2nd time watching RENT live, after watching the Japan tour at Orb Theatre in 2018. The Indonesian cast definitely does not disappoint and can step up as equals with the US company, IMHO.
My favorite character is still Joanne, and wow the actress' voice and attitude! I LOVE. She matches Joanne perfectly and those Docs, I approve hahahah.
Collins is like a teddy bear that I want to hug forever.
Roger is probably the most emotional Roger I've ever seen? All that rage and pain and anger and disappointment and frustration. Wow.
Maureen is DELIGHTFUL. Such drama and energy!
This Mark is SO CUTE.
And Angel is also so cute, and I cried all over his scenes obviously.
Mimi! Her voice! SO LOVELY!
And this Benny! WOW. TBH I love this Benny. He's also like an obnoxious but cuddly teddy bear hahaha
What I love is they don't just adapt it directly, but they also add some local contents to the dialogues and choreography:
- Tari Saman in La Vie Boheme!
- Maureen swore "ANJING!" at Benny
- one of the homeless went, "Miskiiiiin~!" at Mark
- "Teh Botol tol tol tol tol~..."
When I first heard the announcement of Kamen Rider Black Sun, I was really surprised.
HOW DID THEY GET NISHIJIMA HIDETOSHI AND NAKAMURA TOMOYA???
I was really looking forward to see Nishijima san, because he's a great actor, and his Koutarou must be excellent. And also the age difference with Nakamura Tomoya as Nobuhiko? This should be interesting!
I started to watch it on Friday, October 28, but didn't finish until Sunday, October 30, because there were some parts that are... quite difficult for me so I ended up fastfowarding through them.

- Nakao Masaki - his Naruto is even better now. SO HANDSOME. And his eyes, those intense eyessss
- Yata Yuusuke - such pretty, scary, amazing Kabuto
- Rachi Shinji - as always, a stellar Itachi
- Ise Daiki - so excellent, his pain and despair and rage WOW
- And also! The ensemble who, as always, play multiple roles and work so hard to make everything on stage seems so smooth!

If they have Blu-ray released for this, I definitely will buy it because Kuma really has the best expressions in the dorama.
So Fudanshi Bartender no Tashinami (Accomplishment of Fudanshi Bartender) is about Hibiki (played by Wada Takuma in the dorama), a very cool, dignified bartender (obviously) who's actually a fudanshi, and loses his cool when he sees 'hints' between his customers, colleagues, etc.
He can't share what his hobbies are with his customers or friends because he keeps his cool and dignified image IRL, while his spare time is used for making doujinshi, squeeing over anime, making shrines for his favorite pairing, going to Anyamate (ANYAMATE, GET IT) to buy goods, etc. Basically, everything that you and I fellow fujoshi and fudanshi do in our spare time.
Hibiki really IS professional at work, and never bothers his customers or colleagues, but his inner screaming and squeeing over the customers or colleagues he think of as pairings are HILARIOUS.
If you can't get enough of Wada Takuma's very expressive face on stage, this dorama is where we get fed. LMAO
TBH, it's really not a series ABOUT BL, but it's more like a commentary of being a fudanshi? Even though we get familiar faces for the guests/colleagues like Nakao Masaki, Suzuki Shougo, Matsushima Shouta, Suga Kenta etc
Ikeda Junya wrote the screenplay and directed it BTW!

I don't play games, except for IDOLiSH7 on my phone, Nu:Carnival on my tablet, and the original Touken Ranbu on my PC. But I ended up installing Steam and buying a controller just so I can play Touken Ranbu Musou.

In relation with that, though...
Man, being professional fans sounds so tiring though. No one knows me anymore now, but maybe, MAAAAYBE I was a tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiny bit of a BNF in 2.5D back then? No? LOL Anyway, even THEN it WAS exhausting for sure. Being told to use influence for 'the good of the fandom', and share privilege (and goods and merchandises LOL). EXHAUSTING.
In relation with that, though...
You know, when I first heard the term KOL used in relation with fandom, I was really surprised. (And I was also whining, dear God, I've heard it everyday from the Marketing Dept, now I have to listen to it used in FANDOM too?)
Thinking about it further though... Well, why not? Fandom IS an industry and has been industrialized more and more these days, especially in certain areas and related with certain medias.
But to be honest, I guess we are already familiar with KOLs in fandoms actually, we just know them as BNFs HAHAHAHAH. And well, to be fair, those BNFs were (maybe?) not as professional as what KOLs are now. π

Apr. 27th, 2022 09:35 amYou know, I find it really unfortunate that Hijiri's role in Kageki Shoujo!! anime is just... there, because in the Kageki Shoujo!! vol. 5 manga side story AND the drama track that comes with the 3rd Blu-ray, we can see more of her and I LOVE HER. Yeah, she's bitchy and manipulative and MEAN, but she's more than that!
