It's been... What, 3 years since I last watched a musical live?

Yesterday I watched RENT musical by @teman.musicals together with Icha!

It's my 2nd time watching RENT live, after watching the Japan tour at Orb Theatre in 2018. The Indonesian cast definitely does not disappoint and can step up as equals with the US company, IMHO.

My favorite character is still Joanne, and wow the actress' voice and attitude! I LOVE. She matches Joanne perfectly and those Docs, I approve hahahah.

Collins is like a teddy bear that I want to hug forever.

Roger is probably the most emotional Roger I've ever seen? All that rage and pain and anger and disappointment and frustration. Wow.

Maureen is DELIGHTFUL. Such drama and energy!

This Mark is SO CUTE.

And Angel is also so cute, and I cried all over his scenes obviously.

Mimi! Her voice! SO LOVELY!

And this Benny! WOW. TBH I love this Benny. He's also like an obnoxious but cuddly teddy bear hahaha

What I love is they don't just adapt it directly, but they also add some local contents to the dialogues and choreography:

• Tari Saman in La Vie Boheme!
• Maureen swore "ANJING!" at Benny
• one of the homeless went, "Miskiiiiin~!" at Mark
• "Teh Botol tol tol tol tol~..."

All in all, thank you for this, Teman Musicals! I'm looking forward to see what they will come up with in the future.

I don't play games, except for IDOLiSH7 on my phone, Nu:Carnival on my tablet, and the original Touken Ranbu on my PC. But I ended up installing Steam and buying a controller just so I can play Touken Ranbu Musou.
