History & Synopsis[]

History[]

Created in a lab, Shenice Vale was taken home from the lab by Dolores and Jonathan Vale.

Synopsis[]

She first met the super duo of Static and Gear when they were trying to stop runaway balloons. She saves Static and the crew by tying the balloons to a telephone pole. After boasting about how she saved them, she bounds away. The next day, she meets Virgil and Richie. That evening during the girls vs boys bowling game Shenice made her eleventh strike in a row; she misses her last strike when her parents arrive. The next day, she blames her parents for being unable to join the soccer team. Just then, Hotstreak arrives and starts burning down a movie theater, Shenice hurries off to change just as Virgil and Richie are also changing into their Static and Gear costumes. When Static and Gear fail to catch Hotstreak, She-Bang shows up, catches Hotstreak and swings him around until his pants come off and he flies into a water fountain. Later that night, her parents see her and they get into an argument over it to and leaves. Static sees her and they talk, where she reveals that she's not a real Bang Baby. CrewCut arrives and throws a gas bomb which knocks her and Static out. When she wakes up, she's on a plane trapped by carbonized steel. As the plane begins to take off, Static flies as fast as he can and gets inside. CrewCut sees him and catches him with an arm laser. Static stays focused and blasts She-Bang free; she then leaps over Static and breaks CrewCut's gun. Then with help from Static, she manages to knock him then makes the pilot turn the plane around. Now reunited with her parents, she kisses Static and Gear goodbye and leaves Dakota.

Another ordeal Shenice and her parents faced before they were able to live outside of the Witness Protection Program, was her parents being kidnapped by an ex-colleague of theirs. Dr. Koenig, aka Heavyman, had experimented on himself a too much, transforming himself into a mass-absorbing being. Their attempts at reversing his condition were met with futile efforts, and was never heard from again after being taken into police custody.

She-Bang became a part of the Static and Gear team and continues to help them fight crime in Dakota. Soon, the gang were dealing with lot of tension between her and Virgil. She goes solo once more, only to get captured by Madelyn and the Meta-Breed. Static and Gear arrive just in time to save her after a fight between Madelyn and Ebon. The tides turn, and She-Bang and the gang head to safety.

Trivia[]

  • She-Bang bears a resemblance to another DCAU heroine, Batgirl. As both characters served as "rookie heroines" upon their debut as vigilantes, much to the dismay of their male counterparts.
  • She-Bang also bears a heavy resemblance to Cybersix, an Argentinian comic book heroine who was also created in a lab. Both characters sport long capes, fingerless gloves, and full body suits. Both characters also possess superhuman strength and agility.
