Rex, also known as Talking Rex, is a character in the Talking Friends series, first appearing in Talking Rex the Dinosaur in 2010. His last physical appearance was in Talking Angela, however he later appeared as a puzzle in Jigty Jigsaw Puzzles in 2013.
Rex, such as most characters like Gina and Pierre, disappeared in late 2014, and he appears in the episode, Talking Ginger and the Dinosaurs in 2015.
Appearance
Rex is a massive dinosaur with rough, dark green skin, black strips and orange eyes. He has small, pointed claws and spikes from head to his tail.
Personality
Rex is shown to have a personality of a dog. He loves to play fetch and eat raw meat. In Talking Angela, Angela said that he enjoys scaring people for fun, and also says that he doesn't even hurt them.

As seen in Talking Rex the Dinosaur, the other dinosaur appears to engage in a fight with Rex, likely over territory making them enemies, or at least not on good terms.
Trivia
- Rex, along with Roby, does not appear in Talking Santa Meets Ginger or the Talking Friends Annual 2014, making them the first retired characters.
- However, he is referenced in the annuals word search, where the word "REX" can be found.
- Unlike most of the other animal characters, Rex is a life-sized character.
- Rex is also strangely realistic compared to the others.
- Rex also appears in Talking Santa and Jigty Jigsaw Puzzles.
- Rex appears in Talking Angela. He appears and roars when the Scary Slurp, one of the special drinks in the app, is given to Angela.
- Rex appears in Talking Ginger Learns and Explores, in the episode Talking Ginger and the Dinosaurs in 2015. Footage from it makes a cameo appearance in Outfit7's "10 Billion Downloads! 10 Years of Fun!" video.
- Rex is actually a TurboSquid model like all of the 2010 characters, but not only is the model taken from TurboSquid, but the app icon is also taken from the TurboSquid page preview image.[3]
- Rex is one of the few defunct characters to have his model still up on TurboSquid.[3][4]
- Rex disappeared from the Outfit7 website in early 2015, as did Lila and John.
