About

Tomica, a portmanteau of "Tomy" and "car", is a line of die-cast toy vehicles. They are produced by the toy company Takara Tomy beginning in 1970. Throughout the years, there have been many different lines released under the Tomica name, including toys based off of real-world vehicles of all kinds, more fantastical ones, licensed characters such as Disney, and many different tracks and playsets. Tomica has spawned a number of media aside from toys, including two Tokusatsu series starting in 2008, Tomica Hero: Rescue Force and Tomica Hero: Rescue Fire, and a TV anime in 2017, Tomica Hyper Rescue: Drive Head. In 2020 another anime on television would follow, named Tomica Kizuna Gattai Earth Granner.

Tomica Hero: Rescue Force is the first season of the tokusatsu-related Tomica Hero series. It consists of fifty-one episodes, which aired on TV Aichi from April 05, 2008 to March 28, 2009, following the end of Deltora Quest. It also had a movie entitled "Rescue the Mach Train!"
