Next May, Sinn Féin will stand three candidates in Foyle in the Assembly election. Ciara Ferguson, Sandra Duffy and Christopher Jackson work hard every day to deliver for Derry. We can continue the positive change already underway in Derry by electing all three to the Assembly.

Tonight our community came together to take a stand against racism. We took a stand for compassion, solidarity and support shown to those affected. Together, we stand against hatred and division in all its forms. We know this lesson from our own history!

I am delighted to learn that the Cypriot Presidency has proposed direct funding for Peace Plus in its "negotiating box" as part of the next long term EU budget. The Irish Presidency must deliver on this proposal. I will make sure the EP continues to support Peace Plus.

Full solidarity and support with Róis-Máire, it is outrageous that she has been threatened in this way. There is no justification for racist violence witnessed on our streets - those responsible for it and for threats will not succeed.

Today I stood side-by-side with Mayor of Belfast Róis-Máire Donnelly, in full support and solidarity, following threats against her life. Róis-Máire is a young, energetic and dedicated activist and represents the very best of this city and its people. We will not be deterred

The vicious knife attack in north Belfast was depraved. I commend those who acted with courage and selflessness to save the victim’s life. The perpetrator must face the full weight of the law. The racist violence of masked Loyalists who burned families out of their homes echoes

Groups of masked men burning families out of their homes is nothing less than disgusting cowardice. This has nothing to do with community. This is outright thuggery. The attack in North Belfast was heinous and wrong. But there are dangerous attempts to exploit that to target
