    ATTN Drivers, please stay off the roads, if able. This video was taken by our #Caltrans8 Cajon Crew team wearing a head camera of SR-2 and Sheep Creek. Flash floods, high winds and the rain are making it a big challenge for all. Please be patient while we work.

    These are our Snow Blowers on SR-330 at Upper Passing Lane and SR-18 by Big Bear Dam. We are using machines like this to help clear roadways. Crews have been working through the night, so please be patient while we get those roadways reopened. #Caltrans8

    Today, we celebrate the life and legacy of Cesar Chavez. In his honor, a portion of I-215 was recently renamed for him. Due to COVID-19, unveiling the sign was not possible but we wanted to share with you this accomplishment that was made possible by local IE leaders. #Caltrans8

    I-15 in the Cajon Pass is no joke right now. Best to stay off the roadway if able. We have plows working in tandem to clear the roadway. Give us room to work. #Caltrans8

    Remember this. A significant storm is on the horizon for Monday and Tuesday before Mew Years so check road conditions and closures before you go. Could be a repeat of Christmas storm. Be prepared. Full tank of gas. Full tank of gas. Full tank of gas.

    #Caltrans8 crew flew with @sbcountysheriff yesterday for aerial recon and imagery to obtain avalanche assessments in 'Arctic Circle' on SR-18 from Snow Valley to the Big Bear Dam. Here is one that was captured. @CaltransHQ @CA_Trans_Agency @CAgovernor @Cal_OES @SBCounty

    Due to the latest storm dropping over 2' of new snow to our already incredible totals, road closures remain in place for safety. Crews & partnering agencies are working around the clock to clear all mountain community roadways! @CA_Trans_Agency @Cal_OES @CAgovernor @CaltransHQ

    Visibility is at a big “nope,” today. Please consider travel when conditions are more favorable. If you must travel, be prepared and stay safe. If you are traveling to the mountains, please bring your chains and put them on off the roadway. We can’t plow when blocked. #Caltrans8

    SBD CO: SR 18 will remain closed until further notice between 40th and 138. We will release more info once engineers finish the assessment. Only SR’s 330, 18 from Lucerne and 38 open. No access to Big Bear on 330. Avoid travel on mountain routes today.
