My heart is absolutely broken for the three year old killed when a semi-truck hit her mother’s bike today on Leland. Profoundly disappointed in CPD’s latest “blame the cyclist” narrative. In three years I haven’t seen a rider NOT be responsible for their own death.

- Appalled at the aftermath of today’s Columbus protest. Chicago may be the only “liberal” city willing to brutalize Black and brown youth to protect a symbol of white supremacy. Sickening.
- In response to the racist vitriol I’m listening to right now let me say: migrants and undocumented Chicagoans ARE Chicagoans. Their home is HERE. And we are not letting them be stolen away from their communities.

- Hey @BlockClubCHI. I love you. Really truly. Can we stop pushing this tired and disproved narrative?A plan to revive a sleepy stretch of Lincoln Avenue could put existing shops out of business, owners say. buff.ly/3zwVxQj
- So happy to vote for @Brandon4Chicago today! For everyone who deserves a safe, healthy, vibrant, affordable Chicago Brandon is better!
- So proud of the workers at @ColectivoCoffee who just became the largest unionized coffee and cafe chain in the country! What a long struggle, but a powerful and inspiring one!
- That’s the liberal media for you, thinking all Italian-Americans look alike.
- So much respect to Senator Fetterman for seeking mental healthcare, for the sake of himself, his family, and his constituents. Everyone deserves access to affordable and relevant mental healthcare.
- Thank you 1st Ward. @ChicagoElection has made it official: we won. daniellaspata.com/news-updates/a…
- Concerning my position on Chicago’s Columbus statue, I’ve been reminded that I don’t speak for all Italian-Americans. Undeniably true, though I hope I speak for those Italian-Americans who are for racial justice. And I hope there are more of them than I think.
- Seeing all of your posts about parking/driving along the Lakefront Trail and Promontory Point. I had already raised the concerns to the Park District months ago but it sadly seems more explicit direction is needed. I’m sorry for the frustration and danger this causes so many.
