    He did it! He beat brain cancer! He overcame dealing with me as a roommate for a couple of years too! ... and now he is doctor in economics! Nothing can stop him!

    Welp this just happened! Dissertation defended! My smile almost doesn't fit in my face I am extremely grateful for the years of support by @EichMartin , @gprimice , Matt Rognlie, Larry Christiano and @guido_lorenzoni who attended on zoom! It will take a while for it to sink in

    I wanted to thank Fernando Parro, Jonathan Eaton & the rest of the Econ Dept. at @penn_state for inviting me to present as one of the six "New Faces" in the "New Faces in International Economics" Conference. I had a great time, got great feedback for my paper and learned a lot!
