But they didn't just abandon Drs They abandoned the PAs who they spent the past decade lying to. And now we have a cohort of graduates facing anxiety around job losses while College Leaders clink wine glasses in Grand Halls congratulating eachother for a job well done Cowards

A consultant-ready Dr in Neurosurgery earns the same salary as a PA straight from university 15 years of intensive study, post graduate exams, incredibly competitive competition, moving across the country, nights & weekends Vs 2 year simplified conversion course Strike hard

A PA on LBC tried to say that they act like a co-pilot Got news for you... Co-pilots are fully qualified pilots

A doctor has *less* knowledge than: - a physio in physiotherapy - a pharmacist in pharmacy - a nurse in nursing Without doing their training, a doctor could never act at their level I don't understand why it's so difficult for some to accept the inverse

When the Chief Registrar is paid less than the Chief Physician Associate at the same Trust Just don't look at the job descriptions 🫣

So @RCPhysicians, what is the benefit of a medical degree? It appears to be a hindrance, not a help If you do not give guidance to Societies that the PA ceiling of scope MUST be limited to below that of an F1 then you are endorsing the above The choice is clear 5/n

The one thing in this description that Chris has failed to mention? That he is an Anaesthetic Associate A member of the public looking at this would fairly assume that he was one of the top 200 anaesthetists in the UK This is blatant deception

So, this AA is still claiming to be a medically qualified practitioner and using his affiliation with the @RCoANews @RCoAPresident to promote his aesthetics business. @gmcuk he isn’t registered with you but the police said it’s a matter for you to deal with. What happens next?

GP Partners If this is how you are treating your PAs you are putting patients at serious risk of harm PAs, particularly those straight from uni, are often too naive to understand how dangerous this is Stop exploiting your staff

Not had a chance to look at the full report yet But one thing the BMA should now be absolutely clear on going into the strikes Doctors ASSISTANTS are paid 30% more than actual Doctors No more pulling punches

Hi @wesstreeting 👋 The public will see through any attempt to take their doctors away and replace them with cheap imitations This is becoming an election issue Get ahead of it

BREAKING/ This is a scandalous moment in UK medicine. Over 80 Fellows of @RCPhysicians have just declared their lack of confidence in the College. Why? Because they believe its stance on physician associates (PAs) is recklessly failing patients. Pls read - this matters. 🧵
