Today , I needed to speak to a GP Rec ‘ the PA will call you this afternoon’ Me ‘ I need the GP to call me ‘ Rec ‘ they’re the same ‘ Me ‘ no they’re not ‘ Rec ‘ they can do everything a dr can apart from sign prescriptions’ Me : ‘that’s a lie , why are you lying to patients?1/

Me: you’re telling this to the WRONG patient . They are NOT the same , they aren’t medically trained . I need the GP to call me ‘ Rec: ‘ If you want a GP to call you’ll have to ring again in the morning ‘ Me: ‘ Il do just that and il be making a complaint ‘

NHS says : ‘ALL work undertaken by PAs MUST be supervised and debriefed with their supervising GP’ Why is @NHSEngland paying PAs £43k to do work which needs to be re-done by a GP anyways ? Why are we wasting GPS valuable time ? Time for PAs to be removed from GP altogether

Colleen Howe was reassured by a PA that her breast lump was harmless. She was 8 months pregnant .She trusted what she was told because she thought that the PA was a doctor . Diagnosed with incurable breast cancer a few months later .

How can someone qualify as a PA in 2021 , become a lecturer in the same year and then a senior lecturer in medical education a couple of years after that ? They’d be barely out of Med school if they actually studied medicine

I just want 1 PA to explain this to me please , as if I were a child . HOW does what you’ve learnt at PA school allow you to jump from speciality to speciality without having to do any further training (when your base training is just a 2 yr course not studying medicine ? )
