Very disturbing video was posted on the DC subreddit tonight. It looks like this violent attack occurred at L'Enfant Plaza @wmata Station. Does anyone have any details? @DCAttorneyGen @EagleEdMartin #Only1DC

DC had so much momentum. H Street. Navy Yard. City Center. Stanley Cup in 2018. World Series in 2019. Now we are losing two of our teams. We average nearly 3 carjackings a day. Highest murder rate in decades. 6500 stolen cars. And things are getting worse. #ExperienceDC

Interesting. I think NYC is very car dependent and would argue that DC is much more walkable.

Unbelievable. The carjacker who shot Mr. Gill on K Street and murdered a man in @NoMaBID had previous charges dropped by the @USAO_DC. How many more innocent people will die in 2024?

This now-deceased carjacking suspect was previously arrested by MPD for felony threats after threatening to shoot people & saying "I will kill each and every one of you", the @USAO_DC downgraded the charges to misdemeanor threats & then dropped the case. Case 2021 CMD 000523

DC had 149 carjackings in all of 2013. In 2023, we have 821 with two months still left. What the hell happened?

You can’t make this up. The 17 year old who carjacked the FBI car had a “court-ordered GPS monitor on” during the carjacking. There has to be a better way!

Great video from @CFloresNews. This neighbor speaks for the majority of DC residents. Why does it always feel like we are putting violent criminals above law abiding citizens in DC? Enough is enough!

Went to a kid’s birthday party this afternoon. Every single family that lives in DC is contemplating how to leave due to crime and quality of life. Truly depressing. And no matter what @BarredinDC tries to say, it wasn’t like this 10 years ago. #Only1DC #BeDowntown l

Police recommending that DC residents put AirTags in their winter coats so they can be tracked after being stolen. What a sad state of affairs in the Capital city of the most powerful country on Earth.
