The Minister for Department of Public Expenditure Infrastructure Public Service Reform and Digitalisation, @jackfchambers today announced that he has secured Government approval for the General Scheme of the Critical Infrastructure Bill 🏗️ .
Commenting today, Minister Chambers said:
“The creation of a Critical Infrastructure Bill is a key measure in the Accelerating Infrastructure Report and Action Plan. It will address the unacceptable delays in our approval processes by mandating whole-of-State cooperation..."
"...More fundamental reform is necessary and this work is in progress through my Department’s regulatory simplification unit. [This] Bill will accelerate the most critical projects through the existing system."

The Minister for Public Expenditure Infrastructure Public Service Reform and Digitalisation (DPER), @jackfchambers TD, today announced changes to procedures set out in the Infrastructure Guidelines which will remove up to 20 weeks to the approval process for major projects 🛣️ .
Speaking today Minister Chambers said:
“These are radical and necessary actions I am implementing to transform how we deliver infrastructure in our country to benefit households, businesses and communities around the country..."

Minister @jackfchambers spoke with @FeargalORourke for the @IDAIRELAND Annual Conference yesterday.
'Accelerating Irelands Infrastructure Value Proposition' was a wide ranging discussion with a heavy focus on the Accelerating Infrastructure - Report and Action Plan.
Speaking about his personal involvement in the plan, Minister Chambers said at the event:
"My job was to make sure the Action Plan is ambitious and realistic – clear actions, owners, and timelines – so people can see progress, not just process..."
"... I firmly believe that reform is required across the public service to improve the delivery of the vital roles of the state in peoples lives, this is one initiative of many that I and my department are driving to be at the forefront of reforms and change."
Today Minister @jackfchambers and Tánaiste @SimonHarrisTD presented the Exchequer Returns.
Tax revenues in 2025 amounted to €105.7 billion, up by €8.6 billion (8.9 per cent), on 2024.

The revised plan signifies this Government’s commitment to delivering high quality public services, and a transformational capital investment programme.
Speaking about the document, Minister Chambers said:
“The Medium Term Plan published today reflects the needs of a growing population, an evolving economy and an ever-changing society, while seeking to remain fiscally sustainable over the short and medium term..."

Minister @jackfchambers TD visited the offices of @Publicjobsie today.
publicjobs’ CEO, Margaret McCabe, is due to retire at the end of the year after more than 46 years’ service in the organisation.
The Minister marked the occasion with a tour of the building together.
Speaking at the event, Minister Chambers said:
"I want to take a moment to recognise the important work that publicjobs does as the central hub for recruitment, assessment, and selection across the civil and public service..."
