When Labour lets the electorate down in the way we currently are, it is because the top of the Labour Party is betraying Labour values. Labour members won’t forgive that, and they have been leaving the party steadily.
🧵
That cannot be a discussion between the current cabinet to pick a successor, we need a change of direction not just the leader & that change must be decided by our entire party, our members, our Councillors & those that just lost their seats, MPs & of course our Trade Unions.
👏Congratulations to @KateOsborneMP on her appointment as @PACE_News General Rapporteur on the rights of LGBTI persons 🌈Our warmest thanks to @BeatriceFresko for her commitment & the legacy she leaves within the Parliamentary #Platform4LGBTIrights in Europe.

Unite’s strength has always been its members and it's ability to bring them together standing up for values and rights and those must not be compromised.
I know the deep anger this has caused many unite members and I share their pain and outrage.

Today, on the 37th anniversary of Hillsborough, I stood in the Commons as Parliamentary lead of the Hillsborough Law campaign and with a profound sense of obligation to the 97, their families including my constituent Debbie Matthews, survivors, and all victims of state cover‑ups.
Today marks the start of Women’s History Month.
A lot has changed since 1918 when the first female MP was elected to Parliament. Today, more women than ever are serving as MPs in the House of Commons, representing communities across the UK.
Commiserations to Angeliki Stogia, Labour's loss is no reflection on the hard work that she alongside many activists put into the campaign.
Congratulations to Hannah Spencer and the Green Party, I'm pleased you beat Reform and to have another working class MP in Parliament
Instead of listening, those at the top of our party chose to carry on with their attempts to out reform reform on Immigration, plans to cut welfare and putting their factionalism ahead of the country and party.
