- Mercedes and Murda meeting in the Paradise Room is deep and complicated. Mercedes having caught a body in that room and Lil’ Murda having caught feelings in that same room. Death and Life. Murder and Love. #PValley
- Both Hailey & Mercedes wear red and act as guides for young mothers at difficult crossroads. In motherhood, blood is often shed during the transition as a child crowns and sees the light. In both moments two women carrying children are being brought to the light. #PValley
- Replying to @KatoriHallThe fact that our ancestors brought their spiritual practices and beliefs to this country, merging them with their knowledge of the earth in order to survive, is a testament to our resilience and our Africanness. We are a powerful, MAGICAL people. #PValley
- In #PValley Keyshawn’s call to Lil’ Murda is a reflection of their sibling-like bond. Her using the phrase “He tried it” is a reflection of how hard it is to admit even to herself to use the words “attempted rape.” Lil’ Murda hears her loud and clear though despite the euphemism
