    #MAAIFNewsletter : Government embarked on a countrywide Agricultural Mechanisation Programme through MAAIF. Today, farmer groups hire tractors and implements at a subsidized rate of Ugx 40,000 per acre as compared with Ugx 120,000 per Acre charged by the private equipment owners.

    Mechanization: Government is the piloting provision of tractor hire services for organized farmer groups through MAAIF. The tractors are accessed at the subsidized hire rate of UGX 80,000 per acre as compared to UGX 120,000 per acre charged by the private equipment owners.

    Uganda now has a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Vietnam that covers areas of technology transfer, research and capacity building. The MoU was signed by Agriculture Minister Hon. @FrankTumwebazek in the presence of H.E @KagutaMuseveni and H.E Nguyen Xuan Phuc of Vietnam.
