The city has lost over 100,000 rent-stabilized units since 2019 due to landlords illegally raising rents and keeping units vacant to further drive up rents. Their manipulative actions are creating a fake housing crisis. This is illegal and must be stopped.

Healthcare is a human right. It shouldn’t be dependent on immigration status. Thanks @NYSenatorRivera @DickGottfried @AndreaSCousins @CarlHeastie for pushing for health equity. @GovKathyHochul, include #Coverage4All in the state budget! tinyurl.com/2p8bp5y5

"There’s little to no evidence police make schools safer, but there’s an increasing number of incidents in which students, particularly students of color, are targeted by law enforcement...arrested for minor infractions” @NAACP_LDF ow.ly/42jR30lM2JS

Families at 299 Troutman have endured decades of negligent repairs and shoddy building work, forcing them to live with uninhabitable conditions. @mfjlegal attorneys are working with these Bushwick residents to force the landlord to make repairs. tinyurl.com/yxpzde9a

The #RightToKnowAct would require NYPD officers to identify themselves during policing interactions, explain the reason for an encounter, and prevent unconstitutional searches. Police reform now! @CMReynoso34, @RitchieTorres @NYCCouncil

MFJ agrees with @BklynDefender, @LegalAidNYC, @thefortunesoc & @UrbanJustice that prison should not be a profit center for private contractors. No one should make money off incarcerated individuals. #A2J ow.ly/Pu6k30jZl2u

Thank you @GovKathyHochul for signing the Fair Consumer Judgment Interest Act into law. Sponsored by @SenKevinThomas and @HeleneWeinstein, this bill will reduce the interest rate on consumer debt judgments from 9 to 2 percent in New York State!

Did you know? Almost half of Manhattan's luxury-condo units sit empty while approximately 80,000 New Yorkers suffer from homelessness. The city has to commit to pushing past all obstacles to provide affordable housing to its people. #HousingIsAHumanRight bit.ly/36KVpbq

Did you know? With a public bank, we can ensure that our public dollars work for the public good. Instead of lining private pockets, our money would build community wealth. That’s why we’re part of the @PublicBankNYC coalition. Check out this video to learn more and take action:

Nearly 89,000 rent-stabilized apartments in New York City are vacant. Keeping these units away from the tenants who need them is making the housing crisis worse, and should be illegal. ow.ly/AJrH50LKntk

Destroying unhoused people's shelter and belongings is attacking the most vulnerable among us, and is violence, plain and simple. Every dime the city spends on this brutal policy should be spent on providing safe, affordable housing instead.

#FairPay4HomeCare lifts low-wage workers out of poverty and enables seniors and people with disabilities to live in the community instead of warehoused in nursing homes. It’s win-win. And it’s overdue. Thanks @DickGottfried @SRachelMay @CaringMajority tinyurl.com/yrrkzfxj
