00:00 - You may have noticed how much cooler it felt this morning. This was due to an outflow boundary that pushed through Phoenix last night. Around 9 PM, the temperature fell 7 degrees in 10 minutes. The outflow also kept Phoenix from setting a record warm low yesterday. #azwx
- 900 pm: It took 3 colliding outflow boundaries, but a few isolated showers & storms have blossomed over Tempe and Mesa this evening. Most will see nothing, but slow down if encountering rain along Loop 202 in north Mesa towards Apache Junction.
GIF - Strong wind gusts have developed over western Imperial County this evening creating localized channels of blowing dust. In addition to difficult travel for high profile vehicles, visibilities may locally fall below 1 mile in blowing dust.
- Today's high temperatures were 4°F to 6°F above normal but still well below daily records. Temperatures are forecast to decrease over the next couple days, with high temperatures remaining below 110°F through the weekend in the lower deserts. #azwx
