    In the grand scheme of things I think there are more important things for the college to be focusing on. The NHS is falling apart around us, our patients are suffering & staff morale at an all time low. Such pedantic arguments about the titles we use look totally self absorbed.

    The indication for surgery is QOL. They primary outcome should be QOL. Recurrence without adverse impact on QOL is only of interest to the surgeon. No recurrence with significant adverse impact on QOL is of key importance to the patient. Patient priorities should be 1st.
