The UK's sanctions on Russia had a hidden loophole exempting refined oil exports, one of Russia's most critical revenue streams. Jeremy Purvis, Lords leader, pushed back and secured a government concession. The loophole will be closed thanks to Lib Dem campaigning.

A 6th newly elected London Green councillor has quit overnight. Joanna Eaves resigned from Lambeth Council due to ill health. A by-election will be called in Clapham Park. It follows candidates that won in Camden, Haringey, Ealing, Hackney and Lambeth also stepping down

Coastal towns. Rural villages. Left out of the Government's Devolution Bill. Baroness Cathy Bakewell and Lib Dem peers wouldn't accept it. We pushed until ministers backed down. Coastal & rural communities are now written into the Bill.

This story has been shared a lot this weekend. There *is* a very real chance Labour will lose control of Lambeth Council in local elections on May 7th. But it is *much* less likely that there will be an overall Green majority in Lambeth Town Hall. @brixtonbuzz @heartstreatham
