A 27-year-old woman was briefly detained by a sheriff after walking into oncoming traffic, endangering herself. But genius @JohnCleese shares a doctored video from an account falsely claiming an ICE agent was arresting a child.

I’ll share something personal with you. My best friend is an H1B visa holder. Born and raised in Italy. Lives in New York for the past decade. He’s done everything right. Went to college here when he could barely speak our language. Got a job. Pays taxes. Contributes to our

Dear, @DrSJaishankar @MEAIndia Tonight, thousands of Indians on H1B/H4 visas are stranded here in India. They came for stamping, to meet parents, to attend a wedding. Now, a rule say, if they don’t return to US by Sept 20 midnight, their dreams die unless companies pay

People have no idea how destructive the H-1B visa has been for Americans. It’s literally a jobs program for people from one country.

A flight from US to India. People boarded the flight. Found out about the H1B news. Immediately disembarked fearing they won’t be allowed re-entry. Crazy

She’s an immigration lawyer; their paycheck depends on helping employers find ways to disqualify qualified Americans from jobs they have reserved for foreign workers.

Also I have literally never met a single immigrant who came here to get "free stuff." Met many who wanted to work, many who wanted safety, but no one who came here because they wanted to be handed anything. It's pretty much an entire fantasy of the right wing.

Not exactly. That job has already been filled by an H-1B, and now they are trying to get that H-1B a green card. The green card labor certification process requires employers to prove that no qualified American can do the job. So these employers conduct phony labor market tests,

This account and site is awesome because it finds job listings meant to only be seen by Indians. Every American application to the job prevents it from being given to an H-1B. Jeet's are already seething.

I probably talk to 10-20 H-1B holders a week and tell them to consider a move to O-1 visas asap. Been saying this since 2016. The biggest reason why: O-1 visas don’t get caught in political crossfire. Today’s proclamation feels validating in the worst way.

The sense of entitlement being showcased here is why Americans are souring on immigration.

She said what millions have been too afraid to say: America sold immigrants a dream, charged them tuition, taxes, and decades of labor, then turned around and said “Too many of you now.” The dream didn’t expire. The politicians did.

NPR once hosted a live talk segment about the H-1B visa program and explicitly stated they had no interest in bringing on guests who opposed the program because of “xenophobia.” Instead, they invited panelists who stood to gain from the visa: a company CEO, an immigration lawyer,

They hate NPR because it’s unbiased and it’s not commercial. And there’s no screaming and calling each other names and dehumanizing each other. It’s actual journalism and they hate it.

As we’ve said many times, many of these folks talk as if returning to India would be a death sentence. Yet while they’re in the U.S., they remain fiercely patriotic about India and wear their national pride on their sleeves.

Here is a hypergamous Indian woman. So much of what Indians do is about convenience rather than principles. There is no loyalty.
