This has to be one of the craziest admissions from A JUDGE that I've ever seen in a court transcript. What the hell are we doing here?!

Four students at Case Western Reserve University -- my university -- were told that their visas had been revoked and that they will need to leave the country, while the semester is still going. Now, turns out, they don't! What a complete sh*tshow. theintercept.com/2025/04/17/int…

There's gotta be a handful of students out there who have a genuine written affect that comes off as very AI-like and are losing their mind right now.

I just failed a student for submitting an AI-written research paper, and she sent me an obviously AI-written email apologizing, asking if there is anything she can do to improve her grade. We are through the looking-glass, folks.

Morbidly funny that the administration still doesn't understand how the carrot and the stick are supposed to be used.

The beauty of DOGE is that it is self-correcting. For example someone pointed out to Musk that he was letting food we had already paid for go to waste, Musk called that person an "imbecilic propagandist", and then several hours later reinstated the wrong contract.

The contract mentioned above with Edesia had already been restored last week and they should receive payment this coming week.

I know it's awkward, but if you're in a relationship and it's getting serious, you should talk to your partner about running their dissertation through a plagiarism checker.

Guy spends eight hours in economy to debate *near* Harvard campus and still can't whip up campus outrage. I think the vibe shift is officially over.

I've always found fertility discourse to be a bit strange because most parents I talk to say "we'd probably have had more kids if we could just get stable help during the first few years" and yet on here people speculate about potential causes like fragments of a lost language.

Here is the colloquy leading up to this paragraph. The judge coined the term "Shrodinger's Visa," which I find appropriate and pithy. #SaveSEVIS #F1

This account is a firehose of quantitative racism but it is worth re-iterating that: if a trait like skin color is caused by genes, and society determines outcomes based on skin color, then -- yes -- those outcomes will also be heritable. This is heritability 101!

A lesson here: these guys crave being called Nazis. In fact they are always begging someone, anyone to call them a Nazi. But they completely unravel if you just itemize the trail of false predictions their movement has produced. Then the prison fantasies come out.

I suppose this is probably the result of Culture, though. You should be sharing a room with Anthony Fauci, Michael Mann and Eliezer Masliah. Not too early to think about who gets the top bunk
