Finally watched Parasite last night & I thought people were calling it “anti-capitalist”?? From my “reading,” the “lower classes” were stinky, sociopathic, parasitic liars; meanwhile the rich people were generous & beautiful, their only fault being a heightened sense of smell??- Replying to @UnnaturallyNPeople need to realize almost everything from their moral compass down to their personality and even inclinations to certain things did not come from a vacuum, if you have a strong moral character that isnt from the purity of your soul its from good people around you
- For one family the rain was a drizzle which watered their garden, for the other it ruined their lives, poor people are faced with more severe challenges which can lead them to unpleasant behaviours to necessitate survival, evil is based in one's nature, this is based in nurture
- Replying to @UnnaturallyNI'd like to add that this does not absolve you from anything, you do bad and get punished might miss some nuance but its a system that's been prevalent since the dawn of mankind and proven to minimize risk, you still have agency, you are not bound to the whims of fate
