    BREAKING: 21 people incarcerated at Rikers Island have tested positive for #COVID19 — as well as a similar number of staff. Population in infectious disease unit has doubled from 28 to 56 in past 4 days. @NYCMayor response is totally insufficient to full blown crisis.

    BREAKING; New York City to open first legal supervised injection sites in the United States. So much love & gratitude to all who have fought w/us to win this important victory. Especially those we’ve lost to overdose along the way. 💜
    People can use drugs in what is called a narcotic consumption booth inside the injection sites.

    This was made in New York State prisons by incarcerated people making less than $1/hour who had to protest just to be allowed to use the hand sanitizer themselves inside.

    New York made 11M bottles of NYS Clean hand sanitizer. Now it has 700,000 gallons it can't get rid of. All of that in the distance is hand sanitizer a former runway on a state emergency preparedness site in central New York. All 4,000 pallets of it... subscriber.politicopro.com/article/articl…

    We are heartbroken to share that our beloved Carl Stubbs passed away this morning peacefully in his home, with his family by his side. Carl is a VOCAL-NY icon, our most active member of all time, and a fixture in the New York social justice movement.

    So far we've paid 3 bails: -1 whose bail took 24 hrs to process -1 who is 5 mo. pregnant -1 who had a $2500 bail for shoplifting Not all these mamas would have qualified for NY's bail reforms (which take effect in 2020). All these mamas deserve to be #FreeBlackMamas
