Today I assumed, on behalf of Malta, the Presidency of the UN Security Council As a young girl and later as a young diplomat, never did I imagine that I would have the privilege to utter these words. I hope that by my actions I can inspire girls to dream big! Go Team Malta!

Today I met with Palestinian families who shared a story with me of a 5 yr old boy in Gaza who was found lying in the middle of a road. When asked why, he replied that all his family had been killed, he was alone & he hoped a truck would run him over so that he could join them…

On 15 Nov the Council adopted a resolution which called for the release of all hostages during humanitarian pauses in fighting. At the time of adoption your representative stated in the Council that Israel will not implement the resolution. Stop spreading misinformation.
