i notice some interview candidates at @neuralink roll their eyes at the massive scale we’re pursuing. when i started at @SpaceX in 2016, our goal was to enable a launch every other day. this was insane to me. we had completed less than 30 successful launches in 14 years, and

Congrats to the @SpaceX team on launching 17 times in May, faster than a liftoff and landing every 2 days!

In light of all this, thinking about Ilya. Could've had $32 Billion and he still walked away. Truly built different.

  • a million brilliant minds of my generation were sentenced to ritalin induced prisons by teachers who were too lazy to deal with neurodivergent students (or even kids that were just slightly too hyper)

  • hot take: nobody should major in biomedical engineering for undergrad the reality is that companies don’t hire for the jack-of-all-trades/master-of-none archetype that those programs tend to produce if you had to build a biomedical device with 3 engineers, would you hire 3

  • this is all that matters, man. none of the engineering metrics mean anything unless they’re in service of moments like this. who cares how many bits per second we can achieve or how many neurons we can record from. a little girl gets to make beautiful memories with her dad,

  • The beautiful thing about engineering is that the correct architecture will win, even with less capital, fewer engineers, & less marketing. For humanoid robotics, @dhanushisrad and @clonerobotics are the ONLY ones who have gotten it right. spiritus in machina 🦾

  • First impressions of @1x_tech neo robot, as a mechanical engineer that got to see it for the first time yesterday - It’s lighter than i expected. Only 66 pounds and @radbackwards even let me pick it up! (which was easy for me because i’m strong) - This short king can lift 150
