- hurricane katrina was a radicalizing moment for me-seeing people left to die-painting help on the roofs while the helis whizzed past. people getting food were shot by the same mercenaries hired in iraq-katrina woke me up-that could be me on that roof-they will leave us all behind

Nothing like being with a bunch of activists about to take a group photo and someone turning to me to say, “You’re wearing a m*sk in a picture??” Like yes, airborne disease doesn’t take a quick 5 while we pose for our perfect shot.- i was scared. i just did a three person interview in a mask. not only was i offered the job, two of the three people asked me if i wanted them to mask too 👀 i was so fucking scared going in but i did it and i stayed true to myself and the scienceNot to mention the employment discrimination. - REMEMBER: if mask bans were really about "crime" we'd BAN SUNGLASSES which actually conceal identities with facial recognition software. It's the EYES that shouldn't be covered, for the surveillance software to work properly, the mouth and nose are not the unique identifier.
