Why do so many people believe a keto diet causes heart disease when there’s actually no evidence for that? I explore that in my latest Metabolic Mind video!

There is NO evidence that a keto diet increases the risk of heart disease. What there IS emerging evidence for is the potential metabolic & mental health benefits of #TherapeuticNutritionalKetosis. These alone merit future studies on its use as a medical treatment.

If we’ve learned one thing from the past 50 years of nutrition, I think it’s safe to say we shouldn’t rely on the government to help make us healthy

How is it that ever since the government began telling us what to eat, we have gotten fatter & sicker? After a Presidential heart attack in the '50s, heart health became a national obsession. And it was all based on bad science. Cardiologist @bschermd explains how it happened.

Two new studies show no increased risk of heart disease, cancer, or early death from red #meat or animal trans fats. Is it time to finally stop shaming red meat?

Here we go again. Low carb is a killer. Never mind that at baseline the low carb group was fatter, smoked more, higher % diabetics, and didn't exercise. That doesn't matter. It has to all be the diet. Observational "science" strikes again thelancet.com/journals/lanpu…

Regardless of the study results, one thing that deserves notice is how Dave, a “non-scientist”, made this whole thing happen - came up with the idea, recruited the team, helped design the study, crowdfunded it, and helped bring it to publication. Beyond impressive!

Large observational study sheds even more doubt on the removal of whole milk from our public schools. Whole-fat milk drinkers are 40% less likely to be obese. More evidence to rethink the guidelines #fullfatdairy

New American Heart Association report acknowledges lack of scientific grounding for concerns about dietary cholesterol, yet endorses a low-cholesterol diet. No explanation is provided for the disconnect. #confusing

New study falsely claims that #lowcarb worsens #diabetes. But here's the hook, they didn't actually study low-caeb diets! How do these studies get published and grab headlines???
