multiple professional doctors i know who use epic every day have told me directly that the terrible UX of this product has likely cost innumerable lives. 60 yo physicians making 100+ clicks per patient visit will definitely make mistakes if the UI is bad. this company only

apple is wasting so many developers’ entire careers on rendering beautiful glassmorphic squircles and not enough on rethinking all of human computer interaction in the context of AI

my favorite Jorge Luis Borges anecdote is that he hated thick books and thought you should just pretend the book you’re writing has already been written and instead write a summary of it

I updated the duck's wings and made proper flapping and folding animations and I love it so much. Every change I make to this rig makes me so happy 😭 #screenshotsaturday #indiegame #indiedev

just as I suspected, Apple is playing the very long game with AI. investing in custom chips to run future OSS models on-device, staying out of the model rat race and letting others burn their billions on training. commoditize your complement, etc. they might be right

there's a little-used pattern from game design where UI progressively hides itself over time as the user internalizes its meaning in my ideal future, 'generative ui' is more like this than like a fully hallucinated web app
