Vital bus routes serving Crayford, Darent Valley Hospital and Bluewater are at risk. I’ve written to Crayford’s Reform ward councillors asking them to work with me to press their Reform colleagues in Kent County Council to drop the proposals and protect these bus links.

Today the Government has announced they will bring forward a social media ban for under-16s. I was proud to be one of a group of MPs who wrote to the Prime Minister back in January calling for a ban, but have pressed for wider consultation to understand the impacts of it.

There is strong evidence to show that social media is making our children unhappy and unsafe. As the parent of children at secondary school, I welcome the announced ban and welcome that the Government is taking action to better protect our children and young people.

It was described as the “safest and most robust assisted dying legislation” by **supporters** of the Bill. Not a single Royal Medical College OR Professional Body in this country will say the Bill is safe. Let alone it being the “safest”.

I said in last week’s petition debate, there remain flaws relating to mental capacity & protection for people with learning disabilities in the Assisted Dying Bill passed by the Commons last year - hansard.parliament.uk/Commons/2026-0… I’ll continue to argue this if the Bill is brought back.
