Hi @Fortnums 👋 as you’re aware, the Olympic and Paralympic medalists were invited to Buckingham Palace yesterday. It would be nice to understand why you hosted an after party for the Olympic medalists but made the decision not to invite the Paralympic medalists? Why? 😅😅

Imagine winning a Silver medal in a packed out stadium at the Paralympics. Imagine doing it as part of a mixed relay team. And then imagine, your girlfriend is also part of the team. 🫶🏼

The more I think about it, this is a wider issue. Why is it Team GB and Paralympics GB? Why don’t we compete under the same name like Team France did at the Olympics/Paralympics. And why were we at Buckingham Palace in tracksuits, when the Olympians were provided suits?

Question. Why are there Diamond Leagues on during the Paralympics? Surely for a 10 day period we can allow a spotlight to be on para-athletics? This is the biggest platform we get and there are two Diamond Leagues there to take eyes away from us.

This photo was at Buckingham Palace. Olympic and Paralympic athletes were invited there together. But the invites for the after party hosted by @Fortnums were exclusively for Olympians. I couldn’t travel back with my training partner as they were invited to the event and I wasn’t

It would be great if in the future we could be included/attend these events. Paralympians can bring so much value to the table, which I hope brands can see as commercially and financially viable. We are close friends with lots of Olympians as we train together, so it would be

A couple of Paralympians turned up to the event and asked to be let in. I can assure you no Paralympian were invited. Olympians got a personalised Champagne bottle. If any Paralympian got goody bags it was most likely from the stock cupboard because the staff felt guilty. 😊

One last thing to add. If @Fortnums only had room for a certain number. Why wouldn’t you prioritise people with accessibility needs? Do you know how difficult transport is for disabled people? It’s a reactionary response, I don’t buy it at all. No intention to include us.
