🐝 PORCH INSECT ID THREAD 🐝 Gonna keep an ongoing thread for identifying insects i catch and release on my porch using a patent pending plastic cup and pasta box window technique :P All IDs are tentative. I am not an entomologist. Would be delighted for real entos to weigh in!

like many things in 2020, this should have been a valuable lesson and turning point for us, but instead we memeified it into "nature is healing" jokes and then completely forgot about it once we sufficiently divorced them from their origin

before i knew better, and i was campaigning for him (lol), i remember us all being in the volunteer slack when he conceded and saying "well, this isn't over, look at what we've built! we're organized now! we can turn this into something else!" and then they deleted the slack
